COMP1000 Web, Spreadsheets and Databases - Session 1, 2016 - Lab 2

After this lab you should have:

practised making charts in Excel
practised working with tables and using conditional formatting in Excel

Instructions

This week there are 4 questions. Each question comes from the textbook, "Microsoft Office Excel 2010 Introductory", Grauer, Mulbery, Poatsy.

The questions can be found in COMP1000Lab2.pdf

Please ignore part a of each question - as I have put all the data into one workbook for you to download, so you do not need to keep opening and saving new files.

I have put the data for each question into one workbook, with one worksheet for each question.

Please download the Lab2Workbook.xlsx The marking scheme for each question is as follows:

Expenses Worksheet, 3 Marks
Grades, 3 Marks
Sept Data, 2 Marks
Donation List, 2 Marks

Saving your Work

Please make sure you save your work on the network drive (Z:). The drive name contains your CSE username and is usually given the drive letter Z:. The files on this drive are backed every night so that you may be able to recover lost files.

DO NOT save your work on the C: drive. These files are erased every time you close vmware.
