Please familiarise yourself with the process for tomorrow, including:
Reminder: the deadline for the implementation is 10pm tonight.
Tomorrow morning our lecture will start an hour early. This decision was made because sufficient content came up in our Tuesday lecture that we (the people in attendance on Tuesday) decided we would like more time on Thursday.
(The lecture will be recorded as usual.)
Hi everyone,
Today's lecture will start at 10:30 today.
Cheers,
Sim.
Hi everyone,
Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I won't be available to deliver a lecture this morning. I expect you have enough lecture material from last week (I released extra recordings in addition to the usual content) to keep you busy.
I'll see you on Thursday.
Sim.
Hi everyone,
Tomorrow morning there will be no lecture. If students contact me via e-mail me before 10pm tonight to schedule a time then I will be available to do consultations tomorrow between 10am and 12pm. If I don't hear from anyone then I will not be available tomorrow, and I will see you all again on Tuesday morning.
Cheers,
Sim.
In preparation for week 7 and 8, please complete steps 1-4 of the Set up Git for your project (1 mark) task asap. This will enable us to set up your project before the start of week 7. (More information about why this is useful and important, in week 7.)
Hi everyone,
I will be running a lecture definitely on Tuesday, and Thursday is TBC. I am not allowed to introduce any new material during those lectures, but will gladly revise concepts and do extra practice on things we have already covered.
If you want me to run a lecture on Thursday, please show up for the Tuesday lecture (that keeps me engaged, motivated, and knowing that you'll have more questions for me).
Cheers,
Sim.
Helen will be running her extra help session tomorrow (11am-1pm via Zoom), but only if people are going to show up.
If you're planning on coming, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/iZXLapWGt5yMWosaA
If you can only come for part of the time (eg from 12pm) please indicate this on the form.
Hi,
This is a reminder that Helen (one of our tutors from a previous term) is running a practice session now until 1pm.
Any questions you have, bring them to ask. Otherwise she can work through some extra exercises with you.

Hello everyone,
Welcome to week 3!
Some things to check/do this week:
Cheers,
Sim.
Ellie's Thursday 2pm-5pm tutorial will be held this week on Wednesday (tomorrow!!) at 12pm-3pm in Old Main Building room 151.
Hi everyone,
For those of you who are rostered into Ellie's tute-lab class on Thursday 2pm-5pm, remember that Thursday is a public holiday.
Your tute-lab has been rescheduled for Wednesday 12pm-3pm for this week only. We are in the process of trying to secure a classroom. We will post another update tomorrow evening containing the location of your class whether it is a physical classroom on campus, or a Zoom link to have your class online this week.
If you are unable to attend your tute-lab this week due to the time being rescheduled, you may attend another tute-lab for this week. Please let me know (comment on this notice) which class you intend to attend so that we can allocate extra tutors to mark labs if needed.
Any questions, please let me know.
Cheers,
Sim.
Hi everyone,
Due to the public holiday next Thursday I've rescheduled the lecture.
The lecture will be held on Monday 19th September 2pm-4pm. This also means that Tuesday's lecture will be the second lecture of the week (so even if you can't attend Monday's lecture, please try and watch the recording before Tuesday's lecture begins.)
Cheers,
Sim.
