Today (08/August), in the last lecture of the term, we discussed the course review and final exam structure. In case you missed today's lecture, please watch today's lecture (08 August). There is no lecture tomorrow (Friday 09/August).

Please submit your Assignment-2 from the Webcms page , currently command line submission is not working.

You can now submit Assignment-2, click on " Make Submission " tab, and follow the instructions.

COMP2521 Final Exam Time/Seat allocations

COMP2521 Final Exam Time/Seat allocations are now available at the following site, you need to login using your zId and zPass.

There are two exam time slots: Morning (09:15-12:30) and Afternoon (12:20-16:10). Select one of the time slots or if you are available for both, select either is fine.

Students with another exam on the same day are pre-allocated to the time slot that will not clash.

Students with special provision are also pre-allocated to a time slot.

This form closes on Friday of Week-09 (02 August) . Seating allocations (location) will be released in Week 11.

Ass1 Update

• Another set of examples files are now available for testing. The text corpus (files) includes the course descriptions of some of the CSE courses (adapted for the assignment). The expected output result files for "network computer", "software security", etc are provided. Even with the limited normalisation techniques from the specs, the results are interesting. Normally techniques like word stemming, stop words removal, etc are used to improve overall results. However, that's beyound the scope of this assignment.
• Download the zip file exmp2.zip OR download individual files from the dir exmp2 .
• I have reduced late penalty to 1 mark per day off the ceiling (max marks), however the last day to submit is still 9am Monday of Week-08.

Sample Midterm, Friday Lecture on 28 June cancelled

Sample Midterm is now available, see the weblink in the left column on the class webpage. Your midterm exam will be during your week-06 lab time.

Due to the power outage, the Friday lecture on 28 June 2019 was cancelled .

Week-05 tutorial and lab are now available. You can use time available in the tut/lab next week to prepare for your Midterm exam, and also to get started on your Assignment.

Welcome to COMP2521 (Data Structures and Algorithms) !

The course outline is now available, please see the link " course outline " in the left panel. Please read it all, and ask questions in the first lecture on anything that's not clear.

COMP2521 does not use Moodle. The course website is at https://webcms3.cse.unsw.edu.au/COMP2521/19T2/ . We recommend that you bookmark the page. The course material will be available on this website.

Tutorials and Labs start in Week-1. The tutorial and lab for week-01 are now available. See "Tutorials and Labs" in the left panel on the course website.
