Assignment 1 Clarifications

I've had a few questions along these lines, so will answer them here and add them to the spec:

• you can define as many extra views as you like; they must be defined before they are used, so that ass1.sql loads in one pass without error; these extra views can be used in answering multiple questions
• in Q8 and Q9, the cheesemakers must appear in alphabetical order on their names

I may add other bullet points above if other questions are frequently asked.

Assignment 1 is available. Full database. Full schema. Full spec .

Update #1: Mon 3 Mar, 9:40am, PLpgSQL functions are now added to the spec and ass1.sql

Update #2: Mon 3 Mar, 11am, Correct ass1.dump installed, replacing 24T2 dump (ahem)

Update #3: Mon 3 Mar, 6pm, Typo in ass1.dump fixed; reload ass1.dump (makes q2 example output work)

Update #4 : Tue 4 Mar, 9:40am, fixed q3 example output; was missing two tuples

More example outputs and auto-testing still to come.

vxdb02 is Back Up

vxdb02 is currently offline and cannot be connected to.

The Computing Support Group are working to get it (and other servers) back online as quickly as possible.
