156 students took the poll. Thanks for your input!
62% said the pace is just right.
36% thinks it is too fast.
2% thinks it is too slow.
For the 36% students who think I'm going too fast, please seek help from your tutors and/or my consultation (the availability is pretty good so far) because we only have 32 hours (2 hours less due to a public holiday and another 2 hours less due to mid term exam) of lectures to cover a large amount of contents. However, to improve the situation, I will spend the first 5 minutes or so at the beginning of the lecture (i.e., 2pm on Mondays and 1pm on Wednesdays) to discuss the topics in the prior lectures that are more challenging based on the feedbacks from the students (e.g., mid-lecture quiz). Please attend the lecture on-time. Hopefully this strategy will serve everyone better in the next 8 weeks of remaining lectures.
Dear All,
Regarding the issue we were faced by it is recommended that students using the CSAN (China Students Access Network) should use port 5920 and TigerVNC client by default ( china-students-access-network ) for this week.

Ayda

Just letting you know that due to new enrolments in this course some lab slots were created after installing labs in the Give. In this regard, some submission files may be lost. Could you please kindly resubmit your Lab 1 exercises? Sorry for this inconvenience. I really appreciate all your consideration.
Regards,
Ayda

After careful considerations, we have decided to extend the deadlines of Monday labs by two days to Thursdays due to the public holiday on next Monday and Monday labs will become the last ones. Note that for other labs, the deadlines are still Tuesdays (the following weeks). New deadlines for Monday labs will be updated in the systems (e.g., website, give) later today.
