Friday lab F15B from 16:00 to 19:00
Because of the October long weekend, we will not have a lecture in week 4. This impacts the stage 1 lab demonstration in week 5. Originally, we were going to assess the robot vision component in week 5, as well as the wall follower. To account for the missing lecture delaying the presentation of some material, we will only mark the wall follower in week 5 and assess the vision part in week 7. Because of these changes, the marking will now be 40% wall follower; 20% vision; 40% navigation.
Even though we are assessing vision in week 7, do not delay getting started on this component. It is best to divide the tasks between team members so that some are working on the wall follower and some on vision. Both are important!
Because the audio was missing from the week 2 lecture, here is a link to the week 2 lecture from 2025. The content is a little different, but most of the important information is there.
The file has been moved to a class Teams group. Access is restricted to UNSW staff and students. If you get a permission denied error, you may have to use your UNSW account on campus or, off campus, through the UNSW VPN.
It looks like there was a problem recording the lecture videos in week one. Moodle should be enabled now, but it looks like only the lectern video was captured, not the slides. However, all the slides are here on WebCMS. Hopefully, this will be fixed for next week.
An update for week 2. It looks like the video recording was fixed but this time sound wasn't working. I've put in a fault report to the EdTech team who are responsible for the lecture theatre equipment. Let's hope third time lucky.
