From Week 8, the quiz start time will move to 9:30 a.m. (previously 9:45 a.m.) to allow more time for content coverage during the lecture (quiz will finish at 9:42am).
Make sure you open and attend the quiz at 9:30am as there will be no replacements for missed quizzes.
Welcome to COM4336/9336 Mobile Data Networking. Please note that this course will be delivered via Moodle. WebCMS will NOT be used for this course.

Course Outline: COMP4336/9336 Mobile Data Networking 2025 Term 3
Delivery Mode: In-person
Pre-requisite: COMP3331/9331 or any other introductory networking course
Lectures: 3-hour in-person lectures per week: Tuesdays 9am-12noon, F10 M17
Assessments: 4 components --- labs (20%), quizzes (15%), project (25%), and final exam (40%).
Labs: 2-hour in-person labs per week (Week-1 lab is self-conducted)
Project: Individual project due Week-9 (will be released in Week-3)
Quizzes: 15-minute in-lecture quizzes starting Week-2
Final Exam: 2-hour in-person invigilated closed-book exam at the end of the term
Pass requirement: Final exam is a hurdle. Must achieve at least 40% in the final exam and must attempt all assessment components and must achieve at least 50% overall across all assessment components to pass this course.
