  • Thesis Management System (TMS) bug

Posted by Chun Tung Chou Wednesday 04 September 2024, 04:21:06 PM.

    Dear 24T3 Thesis C students,

The Thesis Management System (TMS) has unfortunately gone buggy since last week. If you log onto TMS, it will say that you are enrolled in Thesis C in 24T3, which is correct. But, it also says that you were enrolled in Thesis C in 24T2, which is a bug. This is just to let you know that the issue is on our end, not yours.

As a result of the bug, I'm afraid you are not able to see your Thesis B results on TMS at the moment.

I'm afraid it may take a couple of weeks to get that fixed due to staffing issue. My apologies for the problems.

    Welcome to Thesis C!

I hope you had a good break and are ready to get Thesis C started. Please send an email to your supervisor to find a regular meeting time so that you can resume your Thesis work.

There are two assessments for Thesis C: demo in week 8 and report in week 11. Some useful resources at the Thesis C website are: marking criteria for Thesis C, sample Thesis C presentation slides, sample theses, etc.

I will send a separate announcement in a moment on "How to write a good thesis" talk in Week 2. This talk is to help you to write your thesis at the end of term.

All the best for your Thesis C.
