  • Supplementary Exam

    The supplementary exam will take place on Wednesday 12th July at 8:45am in Rex Vowels (Building F17) . Students eligible to sit the exam should have received an email from me.

    Please note that the location has been changed to: Keith Burrows (Building J14).

  • Final Results

    Your result in the final exam, grade and rank in the course are now available from your CSE account using

    9020 classrun -sturec

    • Final exam marks: You will find marks for the multiple choice questions and the five open questions.
    • Grade: This is your final mark and grade for this course. Your final mark is computed as max(exam, 0.7*exam+mst ).
      To pass the course, your final mark must be ≥50.
    • Rank: Your relative rank in the class.

    In addition, you can obtain detailed feedback on your marks for the final exam from your CSE account using

    9020 classrun -collect final

    If you want to further discuss your marks with me, please come to see me on Friday, 7 July, 2:30-4:00pm.

    If you did not pass but achieved an overall score ≥47, then you are eligible to sit the supplementary exam, in which you have to score ≥50 to pass with a final mark of 50. The supplementary exam will be held in July; the exact date, time and location will be announced on the webpage shortly.

  • Mid-session Test Results

    If you wish to further discuss your marks with me, please come to one of my next consultation sessions. You should also come and see me in case your overall score is below 15.

    Congratulations to the five students who scored a perfect 30/30, well done.

  • Easter Break

    Please note the public holiday next Friday and the mid-semester break the week after. Our next lecture will be on April, 28th.

    Meanwhile have a look at a new homework on "Fun with Logic".

    I can't promise it but will try to have your test results out before the Easter weekend. The student who left a silver pencil case in Webster B can email me to arrange for picking it up.

    Bring your Photo Student I.D. Card

    • your student ID ≤ 5029999: Room AinsworthG03 (Building J17)

    • 5090000 ≤ your student ID ≤ 5119999: Room WebsterTheatreB (Building G15)

    Be there at 2:15pm, the test will start at 2:30pm

    Format:

    • 6 multiple-choice questions (6 x 2 = 12 marks)
    • 3 open questions (3 x 6 = 18 marks)
    • Time allowed -- 60 minutes + 5 minutes reading time
    • One A4-sized sheet (double-sided is ok) of your own notes

    Calculators, phones and watches are not allowed and must remain in your bag.
