Your mark is now available through cgi.cse.unsw.edu.au/~give/Student/sturec.php or from your CSE account using
9024 classrun 25T0 -sturec
The university has a policy to disallow any adjustments to near-misses of higher grades, and they utilise statistical methods to ensure compliance. In a large class like ours, it is inevitable that some of you will have missed a higher grade by just 1 mark. In such cases, I apologise for what is simply bad luck, but please note that all open questions were manually marked using the same criteria for everyone, and then we are not allowed to make individual adjustments.
Kudos to the following students for scoring 90 or higher:
David Zhou
Zepeng Fan
Jianghan Zhou
Shuyu Miao
Chenxi Zhu
Well done, and congratulations to everyone else who passed and achieved a good result!
You can now fetch your marked assignment "Number Trails", including feedback, either by logging into cgi.cse.unsw.edu.au/~give/Student/sturec.php , or by using
9024 classrun 25T0 -collect assn
If you have any further question about your assignment mark, please contact your friendly marker Ziting Li (ziting.li@student.unsw.edu.au).
If you believe that you made a submission but cannot find the marked assignment, then you are probably one of the 16 students who are under investigation for significant plagiarism and will receive an email from us shortly.
Please note that assignment submission is currently possible only as described on the assignment, by using the command
give cs9024 assn trails.c (+ header and implementation files of any admissible ADTs your program is using)
(e.g. on vlab). To check that your submission has been received use the command
9024 classrun -check assn
A friendly reminder that the mid-session test will begin soon. You can find the test on Moodle or access it directly through this link:
Midterm Test - Tuesday January 28
The test will open at 11:00am and automatically close 1 hour and 5 minutes after you have started it or at 12:10pm the latest (even if you have started after 11:05am).
Time is important, but keep in mind that you have an average of 6 minutes per question, plus reading time.
Best of luck everyone,
Michael
Since our web server is still playing up this afternoon, the deadline for this week's quiz has been further extended to tomorrow, Saturday 25 January, at 12:00:00 (mid-day) .
If you haven't already finished your quiz, please do so as early as you can and the web service is back up again, to avoid a similar issue close to tomorrow's deadline.
The CSE web server was facing similar issues earlier today that already affected the lectures this week.
For this reason the deadline for today's quiz has been extended by 1 hour. New deadline: Today (Friday 24 Jan) at 5:00pm. We will keep monitoring the situation and, if necessary, extend the deadline further.
