Please note that all labs will be in a different location tomorrow (Thursday 5 February, Week 5):
Please ensure that go to the right lab location at your usual time. All these labs are in the adjacent building K-J17, on level 3 (above the lecture theatre).
The reason is that there is a good chance of excruciating noise in K17 from the demolition of the second balcony during the day.
Your mark for the midterm test is now available through cgi.cse.unsw.edu.au/~give/Student/sturec.php or from your CSE account using
9024 classrun 26T0 -sturec
You can also look at your auto-&manually marked answer to the programming question, again either by logging into cgi.cse.unsw.edu.au/~give/Student/sturec.php , or by using
9024 classrun 26T0 -collect midterm_q5
The average for question 5 was a bit lower than expected. I suspect that not having access to VS Code during the midterm made things harder for everyone. VS Code needs to be explicitly installed for each individual exam, and while I wanted it for ours as well, this was unfortunately not actioned this time. I only became aware of this too late, and then all I could do at the last minute was add the instruction on how to open an editor.
I will ensure that VS Code is available for the final exam.
Kudos to the following students for scoring 21 or higher given the level of difficulty of this midterm test:
Yu, Dian
Chen, Zehao
Guo, Jialin
Well done, and congratulations to everyone else who achieved a good result!
