Operating Hours:
Hello everyone,
This is at least one message channel I know will reach the entire class!
Unfortunately, our Week 9 Monday lecture was disrupted due to a safety incident at the lecture building, and access to the venue was restricted for several hours. As it is not feasible to reschedule a replacement lecture, I have uploaded a video recording of the String Algorithms – Part 1 lecture from a previous term.
On Thursday (tomorrow) , Dr John Shepherd will be guest lecturing. He will briefly review Part 1 and then complete the second half of the String Algorithms content.
I will return in Week 10 , and rest assured that we will cover all final exam information then.
Kind regards,
Helen
Hello class,
Welcome to COMP9024 26T1. Hope you are ready to start and a little excited about learning algorithms and C!
Week 1 includes lectures on Monday and Thursday , as well as your first practice exercise . Please make sure you attend the lectures and attempt the practice questions — they are designed to ease you into the material and help you check your understanding early.
While most regular activities will properly ramp up from Week 2, Week 1 is not a “quiet” week. Use it to set up your development environment, review the course outline, and make sure everything is working as expected.
Starting early will save you headaches later. Future you will be grateful.

Looking forward to meeting you all in person.
PS: Just one little note to students who are enrolled in "WEB" stream of the course - There is no separate online/Web course for COMP9024. The lectures are automatically recorded and uploaded onto Echo360 which you can watch anytime that suits you.
