  • Update on myExperience, Project and Exam

Posted by Brian Udugama Wednesday 13 November 2024, 12:57:58 AM, last modified Wednesday 13 November 2024, 12:59:44 AM.

    Dear all,
There are a few updates about the following.

    myExperience
Please participate and provide your feedback via myExperience. Your feedback is much appreciated and will help us to shape this course for future offerings. Also, I am personally thankful for your feedback as it helps us to improve.

    Project
The project presentations will proceed as planned today and tomorrow. You would have the project sources and the report due on 20/11/2024 11:59 PM. There would be just one submission link. So, place the source folder and the project report in a single .zip archive and submit them together as a single file . There should be just one submission per group .
We will also share an MS Form link to let you provide feedback on your group. This MS form should be submitted individually (as it is you providing what you think about your group mates).

    Exam
In preparation for exam, we will host 3 online consultation sessions for you to clarify any doubts. They are scheduled as follows.

    • 21/11/2024 4:00-5:00 PM
    • 28/11/2024 3:00-4:00 PM
    • 03/12/2024 4:00-5:00 PM

I will be having an online meeting hosted on the general channel on Teams. Drop by if you have questions.

Also, please be aware that the exam duration is 2:15 minutes . However, the number of questions in Part ONE is reduced to 10 from 12 .

  • A correction for the lecture and sample code for Keypad/LCD

Posted by Brian Udugama Wednesday 09 October 2024, 02:29:42 AM.

    Dear all,

Please find a sample code for interacting with the Keypad and the LCD, uploaded to Week 5 Lab material.

Also, there is a fact that I mentioned wrong during the lecture. LCD_RS, LCD_E, LCD_RW and LCD_BE are not defined in m2560def.inc. It should make sense as these definitions are related to LCD and the LCD is not a part that is shipped together with the MCU. So, we need to do these definitions by ourselves, as seen from the sample code. Sincere Apologies for the confusion. Please do ask any questions here, if you need further clarification.
