A reminder that we start the first lecture this week on Thursday 3 Oct!
The slides and notes for this first week are available on the course website.
See you there,
Ihor.
Unfortunately I will be out of the country for the first two weeks of T3 2019.
This means that the lectures for COMP 9243 (Distributed Systems) will not start until week 3 (the first lecture will be 3 October 2019).
It also means that we will use week 10 for lectures, and will have, overall, 1 less week available for lectures (so there will be a total of 8 weeks of lectures, instead of 9).
It also means that there is less time for assignments, so we will have 2 assignments instead of 3.
Finally, it also means that there will not be any significant course marks available by the census date (13 October 2019).
The course outline has been updated to reflect this.
If you’d like to use the first two weeks get a feel for the course content and difficulty, and to make a head start on the course then I recommend:
Sorry for the delayed start. See you on October 3.
Ihor.
Welcome to COMP 9243.
