This is to let you know that Report, Project, and Peers marks are released in both SMS and WebCMS3. Please do get in touch with your mentor if you need further feedback.
This is a gentle reminder, for those of you who did not yet give their feedback about the course through myExperience ( https://unsw.bluera.com/unsw/ ), that the due date and time are Thursday 15 August 2019 @ 23:59 (i.e., in two days time).
Please do provide us with your feedback which is important to us before the deadline.
Thank you for those who already gave their feedback and I wish all of you all the best in your final exams.
Thank you for your time.
This is to let you know that Project Demo marks are released in both SMS and WebCMS3. Please get in touch with your mentor if you need further feedback.
This is a gentle reminder that your Project Demo will be held during Week 10 starting from tomorrow as per the Project Demo Schedule . You may refer to the Assessment Guidelines as well as your mentor/tutor instructions regarding how the demo will run. The Assessment Guidelines also include marking criteria.
Please note that
all group members must be present
for the project demo otherwise
students who are absent will get zero mark
for that assessment unless they have applied for Special Consideration and it was approved.
Wish you all the best for your project demo!
Please note that the due date of the final submissions of your project have been postponed. They are now due Sunday 11 August 2019 @ 23.59 (Week 10) for both the report and the final system and the following day Monday 12 August 2019 @ 23.59 (Week 11) for the optional peers evaluation.
Please also note that the submission links for the above three assessments have already been created in WebCMS3.
You may refer to the Assessment Guidelines as well as to your mentor/tutor instructions regarding what you need to submit in your final submissions. The Assessment Guidelines also include marking criteria.
This is to inform you that any group which is not on track and/or wants to have feedback or catch up with the mentor/tutor during this week (Week 9) needs to get in touch with the mentor/tutor to arrange for a meeting. Please note that this week's meeting is not compulsory for students who have no issues regarding their project progress.
The Project Demo Schedule is now released. You can find it under Project. Please get in touch with your tutor/mentor if the date/time of your demo is not correct.
This is to let you know that Project Proposal marks are released in both SMS and WebCMS3. Please get in touch with your mentor for feedback.
This is a gentle reminder that your team's Project Proposal worth 10% is due tonight Friday 21/06/2019 @ 23.59pm.
Please note that
only one member
(the Scrum Master) submits the Project Proposal on behalf of the team.
All the best.
There are a number of accounts that are not linked to any zID in GitHub Classroom (see the list of these accounts here as well as what to do to fix that).
Please note that it is very important that your GitHub account is linked to your zID to monitor your project progress.
Could you please update your group/team details under Groups in WebCMS3 course website and specify the Scrum Master (as Admin). If your group details are already there and up to date then ignore that.
Since Monday Week 2 was a public holiday (Queen's Birthday), the make up class for the missed Week 2 labs for Monday classes will be held this coming Monday 17 June 2019 (Week 3) as per the updated timetable below:
Please do attend this important lab to discuss your proposal with your mentor.
Please follow these instructions to join GitHub Classroom.
Please note that I just uploaded three more project topics together with extra useful information for Projects 1 and 2.
There are now five (5) different project topics.
Please do have a look at them as a team before you select the one you will focus on, customize and implement.
Welcome to COMP3900 (Computer Science Project) / COMP9900 (Information Technology Project).
Please have a look at the Course Outline, the Assessment Guidelines (under Project page), and the two generic projects (under Project page) to make yourself familiar with the course objectives, assessments requirements as well as this term's available projects to chose from.
Please note that you will be working on a given generic project in a team of four (4) members from your lab under the supervision of a mentor that checks on your project progress on a fortnightly basis.
Please also note that there will be labs (or mentoring sessions) in Week 1 , that is, next week 03/06/2019 for Monday labs, well before our first lecture next Friday 07/06/2019. It is very important that you turn up during Week 1 labs for group formation , project selection , and project brainstorming.
