I hope you are all doing well and staying safe.

The deadline to give your feedback about the course through myExperience Survey is closing tonight Thursday 24 November 2022 @ 11:59pm ( Sydney time ) and only around 30 % of students did complete the survey so far.

Thanks to all of you who have completed the survey so far. If you haven't yet participated, you can find the myExperience link on your Moodle course page or look for the link in your student email. The link is also given below for your convenience:

Project Report and Project Source Code Due Soon - Reminder

This is a gentle reminder that your team's Project Report worth 20% and Project Source Code worth 20% are due today Friday 18/11/2022 @ 9.00pm (Sydney time).

Please do make sure you familiarise yourself with the assessment guidelines for both Project Report and Software Quality (see specification and marking rubric document as well as submission link for both assessments document under Assessments page in WebCMS3).

Please also note that only one member of the team (the Scrum Master) submits both the Project Report and the Project Source Code on behalf of the whole team.

This is a reminder that your Progressive Demo B will be held this coming Week 8 during lab time.

Similarly to Retrospective A, try to conduct your Retrospective B meeting as soon as possible after your demo (preferably in the same day).

Projects and Labs

Dear COMP[39]900 Students,

Please do have a look at the available generic projects under Projects page in WebCMS3 to choose from or come up with your custom/own project subject to mentor/lecturer approval. If you want to work on a custom/own project, a Custom/Own Project Request Form need to be sent to your mentor by end of Week 1 .

A reminder that labs or mentoring sessions start in Week 1 . It is very important that you turn up during Week 1 labs for team formation , project selection , and project brainstorming .

Use the forums I created for each lab under Teams Formation Forums page in WebCMS3 to help with group formation. Once you have found some group members in your enrolled lab, please do coordinate with those members to use the " + Create " button on the Groups page in WebCMS3 to create a group, and then register current members within the created group. Group members can also click " + Join " on the created group to join. One member should be the Admin (or Scrum Master ).

For the team/group name, please ensure you include your course code (only the last four digits ) and enrolled lab code as a prefix . For instance, if your course is COMP3900 and your lab code is M10A , and you called your group Fantastic Five , then your full group name in WebCMS (as well as in Jira and GitHub Classroom ) would be 3900-M10A-FantasticFive . This will help you keep track of group members, and others to see what groups have already started forming in their lab.

Please also note that the Online mentoring sessions and the Online lectures will run using Blackboard Collaborate (link is in Moodle).

Talk to you Tuesday 13 September 2022 at 6pm in our first lecture.

Dear COMP[39]900 Students,

Welcome to COMP3900/9900 (Computer Science Project/Information Technology Project).

My name is Rachid and I am the Course Convenor for 22T3.

Please have a look at the Course Outline to make yourself familiar with the course objectives and assessment requirements.

Note that you will be working on a project in a team of five (5) members from your lab under the supervision of a mentor/tutor that checks on your project progress on a weekly basis. Lab attendance is mandatory and will be recorded weekly.

Labs or mentoring sessions will start in Week 1 . It is very important that you turn up during Week 1 labs for team formation , project selection , and project brainstorming .

I hope you will enjoy the course.
