  • Macquarie prize shortlisted teams

Posted by Fethi Rabhi Tuesday 18 October 2016, 10:55:02 PM.

Thanks to all the teams that have presented today, all demonstrations were truly impressive.

Examiners have selected the following teams to present next week for the Macquarie prize: OG_SENG1ACrew, Better Half, HyperChicken, TODO Team Name, Traitors & Eleven51. All details will be emailed separately.

All other teams are welcome to attend the presentations which will take place Tuesday 25th October between 10am-12pm in CSE Building Level 1 Seminar Room.

  • Week 12 Checklist

Posted by Fethi Rabhi Monday 17 October 2016, 10:01:20 PM.

-Week 12 demos will be conducted in 2 rooms according to the timetable on Tuesday

-Shortlisted teams for Macquarie prize will be notified the same evening or the next day

-Macquarie prize presentations will take place on Tuesday, 25 th of October between 10 and 12 in level one seminar room in cse building

-Please put all your files including design documents and codes in an on-line repository. Then email a link to the repository AND a link to your hosted website to your mentor by Friday 5.00 PM. The repository will only be inspected (not executed) so there is no need to provide all the public libraries or binary codes.

Students are free to use any hosting service they wish, however for those with no preference we suggest using DigitalOcean. It has good support for all common platforms out of the box, and is likely to avoid any compatibility issues. While Digital Ocean is a paid service, all students at UNSW can get enough credit through https://education.github.com/pack to host their websites on DigitalOcean for at least half a year.
