As you may be aware, UNSW is currently considering changing its semesters from: Semester 1: March-June, Semester 2: July-November 12/13 teaching weeks, 4 courses/semester, 1 week mid-semester break, to Term 1: February-May, Term 2: June-August, Term 3: September-November 10 teaching weeks, 3 courses/semester, no mid-semester break The latter is the UNSW3+ model being proposed by the Chancellery. In both cases, the exam period involves 1 week stuvac, 2-3 weeks of exams. Summer semester would still exist, but would shrink from 8 weeks to 5 weeks. The advantages of three terms potentially complete degree in slightly less than 3/4 years take a semester off for work experience or study abroad take some semesters with only 2 courses to work half-time Which kind of semester structure would you prefer?
