Help Sessions

You can use help sessions to ask about course content or get help with your labs and assignments. There will be additional help sessions and tutors during assignment periods.

How to Join

1. Join the help session

• In-person sessions are held in the CSE labs
  • Check the schedule above for the location
  • Note that the help sessions in K17 B09 are BYOD (bring your own device)

  • Where is K17 B09?
• Online sessions are held on Blackboard Collaborate
  • Go to the Moodle page for COMP2521 24T1
  • Click on the Online Tutorials and Help Sessions link, which will open Blackboard Collaborate
  • Join the session named Online Help Session

2. Join the queue on Hopper

• Go to Hopper
• During the help session, a room for COMP2521 will appear on the login page. Select this room and log in with your zID and zPass
• Fill in the form and submit
• Keep an eye on your place in the queue, which will be automatically updated

3. Wait for your turn

• If the help session is in person, a tutor will call your name or approach you when it is your turn.
• If the help session is online, keep an eye on Blackboard Collaborate. A tutor will move you to their breakout group once it is your turn.
