Fixed - three cheers for UNSW IT : )
Hi everyone,
Something has gone awry with today's lecture recording. The entry is not appearing on Echo360 at all!!
I have emailed tech support asking what happened. In the meantime, here is a video of very similar material that I made four and a half years ago:

I really do hope that today's recording worked! It was such a fun lecture and your questions were marvellous : )
Stay tuned,
seb
Hi all,
Hope you're enjoying your long weekend.
Note that Seb and I are swapping our lectures due to availability and also flow.
Seb's lecture on Data Ethics that originally will take place next Tue will happen this Wed instead after his lecture on Meta ethics on Tue (tomorrow).
My lecture on AI ethics will take place next week - Tue, followed by transparency and accountability on Wed.
Hence the reading materials have been swapped.
See you in the lecture then.
Best,
Flora
Hello students 👋🏼
This email only pertains to COMP4920/9920 students with tutorials on MONDAY (i.e. M13A, M13B, M15A, M15B)
All other students may safely disregard this email.
---
You may have noticed this weekend is a long weekend, therefore your week 4 tutorial on Monday will not be possible. We have booked replacement tutorials for you to cover the content with your tutor and to do your tutorial exercise as usual. Please endeavour to make it to your own replacement tutorial, but we understand if you can't make it due to scheduling clashes - if this is the case, in this one instance Monday students only are permitted to attend any of these four make-up tutorials.
The new week 4 tutorial bookings are as follows:
| Tutorial | Tutor | Make-up Session (Venue) |
| M13A | Yihang Song | Friday 1-3pm (Goldstein G09) |
| M13B | Jared Wright | Tuesday 4-6pm (Mathews 106) |
| M15A | Yihang Song | Thursday 6-8pm (Mathews 228) |
| M15B | Ujan Deb | Wednesday 6-8pm (Goldstein G01) |
---
That is all, thankyou for your attention to this, public holidays are nice but can be disruptive.

Hi,
Welcome to 4920.
Here's my updated post with UPDATES marked below, given several emails requesting clarifications.
We're so looking forward to meeting you! To familiarise yourself, please check out the course outline.
https://webcms3.cse.unsw.edu.au/COMP4920/26T3/outline
We use discourse as our discussion forum : https://discourse02.cse.unsw.edu.au/26T3/COMP4920/.
Please join us there.
Our lecture times and locations are:
- Tuesdays 2-4pm at the Keith Burrows Theatre (K-J14-G5) Theatre
- Wednesdays 4-6pm at the Science Theatre.
The lectures are in person only. And we have SNACKS :)
UPDATE1:
If you're enrolled into "online" lectures, note that there is no livestream for the lectures. We only have lecture recording post the lectures.
The delivery mode for this course is in person. The "online" enrolment is to enable capacity management of the physical lectures, but to date, our lectures are always less than half full. I hope that will change from this term. So please come along even if you're enrolled in the "online" class.
Tutorials are on from week 1, and tutorial exercises (part of your assessment) will commence from week 2 (see the course outline).
UPDATE 2:
The tutorial exercises will cover the material from the lectures and readings in the preceding week.
See you in class next week!

Best wishes,
Flora, Seb, your great course admins (Edward, Kobe, Matthew), and all the lovely tutors.
