  • Project 2: Task 2 Submission

    A gentle reminder that Task 2 presentation slides are due by the end of today. Any group member can submit. Instructions can be found on the Project 2 Task 2 page.

    Any group member can also check their group's submission history and fetch the most recent submission by connecting to CSE and running:

    6452 classrun -check proj2_2
    6452 classrun -fetch proj2_2

    Please make sure your submission has been correctly received before midnight.

  • Quiz 1 Results

    To check your mark, please connect to CSE and run the following command in the terminal:

    6452 classrun -sturec

    Alternatively, you should be able to access it through the give web interface .

  • Quiz No 1 is today!

    A quick reminder that Quiz 1 is scheduled for today at 3:15 PM. We will wrap up the lecture early so everyone has time to prepare / relocate. The duration of the quiz is 30 min. ELS students will get their duration adjusted accordingly.

  • Week 5 Presentation Schedule Finalised

    The presentation schedule has now been finalised. Please check it carefully to ensure you know the time and location of your presentation:

    Before your presentation:

    • Review the Project 2 specification to understand the required content, number of slides, timing, and assessment criteria.
    • Reflect on feedback received for Task 1 — it may help you improve your presentation.

    Presentation Format

    • Each room is booked for a two-hour session .
    • Each group will have 12 minutes to present , followed by a 3-minute Q&A .
    • Please do not exceed 12 minutes — presentations may be stopped at the time limit.

    Slide Submission

    • Don’t forget to submit your slides by 11:59 pm on Friday, 3 July 2026 .
    • Submission instructions can be found on the Task 2 submission page.

  • Book Your Task 2 Presentation Slot

    Please reserve a slot for your group using this spreadsheet:

    Please note:

    • You will need to be logged into your UNSW account.
    • Please only select one slot by adding/selecting your group name under the Group column.
    • Please do not modify the reservations of any other groups.
    • We expect all group members to be present for their presentation and their 2 hour session.
    • If any session isn't full, we will condense the slots to ensure the presentations are running back-to-back.
    • Please finalise your slot by 11:59 PM on Wednesday June 24 , otherwise a slot may be allocated for you.

    A spreadsheet will be shared tomorrow (Monday) at around 5pm, where your group can select an available presentation slot. Please discuss your preferred sessions in advance, and note that all team members must be present.

    Please note that the above schedule replaces 7 of the 8 regular help sessions and the Thursday lecture. However:

    • The Monday Week 5 lecture will run as usual, but with part of the time allocated to Quiz 1.
    • The Monday Week 5 M16B lab will run as a regular help session for any students or groups who would like additional assistance.

    Thank you to all groups who completed Task 1 on time. Reviews are currently underway, and you should receive feedback soon.

    A reminder that Project 1 is due tomorrow at 23:59:59. Late submissions are accepted for up to five days after the deadline.

    Welcome to COMP6452: Software Architecture for Blockchain Applications!

    We are excited to have you on board and hope you are ready to dive in.

    This course explores the foundational principles of blockchain technology. We place a strong emphasis on designing and developing robust, scalable, and secure applications through the lens of software architecture and quality principles.

    This is a highly hands-on, project-based course. You will work in teams to build a blockchain system, gaining practical, collaborative experience. Be ready to engage with your classmates.

    🔔 Important: Lab Classes

    • Ignore timetabled slots: Please disregard the enrolled lab times on your timetable.
    • Drop-in consultations: Labs will operate as flexible help sessions with tutors this term. Attend any session during the week—and as many as you need—for technical help.
    • Self-guided work: All lab exercises can be completed in your own time.

    • We use Discourse for all course-related discussions. The WebCMS forum will not be monitored.
