Hi all,

Hope that the prep for the final exam is going well, and that you have enjoyed the course.

(A) Sample Exam Video

Some of you have reported that you missed the deadline of the sample inspera exam (which I will humbly point out was announced in advance).

You are required to not download, store or share the video or any of its derivatives including screenshots.

Note: THE EXAM DOES NOT REFLECT THE NATURE, NUMBER, MARKS OR DIFFICULTY OF QUESTIONS IN THE FINAL EXAM.

Please note that I am unable to provide answers at this stage. This is only fair since the answers to MCQs were, in fact, available to the ~160 of you who did complete the sample exam within the specified time. I have also responded to a post about the subjective question on the forum.

(B) Cheat sheet

The A4 cheat sheet must be handwritten - and you can write on both sides of the sheet and in any language or form (i.e., diagrams, etc.). Printouts of notes taken on a digital device (such as ipad) are explicitly disallowed by UNSW Exams . In fact, the final exam (including the sample exam) has a clear instruction stating so (see screenshot below). These instructions are specified by UNSW, and not made up by me. :)

It will be a fun experience to go old-school and use pen-paper to make your cheat sheet. Try it out! ;)

Final Exam Instructions & Sample Inspera Exam

Hello all,

Two announcements regarding the final exam for COMP6713:

(A) Final Exam Instructions:

Make sure you are exam-ready!

• You need your UNSW student ID card to sit your final exams on campus. Electronic IDs will not be accepted. Your UNSW student ID card will be scanned at the exam venue as part of a new attendance checking process.
  • If you are unable to provide your UNSW student ID card, you may not be able to sit your final exam. You can go to the Student Hub and get a new or replacement student ID card. New ID cards and replacements for expired cards are free; the cost of a replacement student card is $25. The Student Hub is NOT open on Saturdays.
• Prepare for your Inspera exam on campus:
  Student info invigilated exams PDF
• Ensure you know when and where your exam is:
  Understanding your exam timetable PDF
• And most importantly, ensure that you have the correct SEB versions (these are different from last Term): SEB for Mac (version 3.5.4)
  SEB for Windows (version 3.10.0) *

* For Windows – Your device can only have one correct SEB version installed. You will need to uninstall the incorrect SEB version prior to the exam.

During the Term 1 2026 final exam session, an onsite IT Helpdesk will be available to support students from Friday 1 May to Thursday 14 May. Find it in the John Niland Scientia Building Foyer, G19 on the Campus Map. No booking required!

Operating Hours:

• General queries: Monday to Saturday, 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm
• Students sitting an exam only: Monday to Saturday, 8.30am - 10am and 1pm - 2pm

(B) Sample Inspera Exam

A sample exam to familiarise yourself with Inspera and the general format of the final exam can be accessed as follows:

The sample exam will be available from 26th April 2026 10:00 AM to 30th April 2026 12:00 PM. The sample exam is completely optional and does not contribute to any marks in the course.
