    Dear All,

The second coding project has been released.

Again, please at least watch the lecture recordings first, try the labs, and then the coding project.

We will release the next two labs on RDD and DataFrame programming this week so you have enough time to practice.

    Regards,

  • The first coding project released.

Posted by Xubo Wang Monday 10 June 2024, 10:09:32 AM.

    Dear All,

The first coding project is released already, and you need to use the knowledge learned in weeks 2 and 3 to complete the project. I will talk about more details about it in this Tuesday's lecture after we finish learning about MapReduce.

Labs 2, 3, and 4 aim to help you work on this project. If you can understand the solutions to the lab problems, you should have no problem completing the project on Hadoop MapReduce.

    Regards,

    Xubo

  • Lab starts from Week 1

Posted by Xiaoyang Wang Sunday 26 May 2024, 10:32:24 AM.

    Hello Class,

A reminder labs start from Week 1. You can find the first week lab in Ed Forum -> Lessons. Please register yourself first before using Ed . Due to the limited space of school labs, we have to run BYOD labs face-to-face in classrooms. So you need to bring your own laptop. While some labs may have desktops. During the lab, a tutor will be present to assist you and answer questions. There is no marks for lab part.

    Best regards,

    Xiaoyang
