Hi Students,
I have updated the spreadsheet for the tutorial groups. Please note, there shouldn't have been any changes made unless you have contacted us via email, so not to worry for most of you. We have had to swap a few tutors in the Thursday sessions around so don't worry if the names don't exactly match what you initially saw, the links on Moodle are correct and should take you to the right tute.

Hi Students,
The Lab 1 specification is now available under WebCMS3 > COMP9517 > Course Work > Assessments > Lab 1.
Please note that some of the lab topics are covered in this week's lectures. So don't stress out when you read the lab specification and there are things in there that you haven't heard about yet.
Just repeating what I said in an earlier post: Each lab is about topics taught in the lectures of the same week. We release the lab specification early in the week to give you more time to have a look before coming to the lectures and prepare for the tutor session of that week.
The deadline for Lab 1 submission is Week 3, Friday 27 September 2024, 18:00:00 Sydney time.
If you have any questions, feel free to discuss with your tutors this week or ask on the forum.
The link to your tutor session can be found on the Moodle page under Online Tutorials.

Hi Students,
This week tutorials will start. Everyone should have been allocated to a Tutorial, which you can find in Tutorials>Tutorial Groups. Please let us know ASAP if you cannot see your zID in the list by emailing cs9517@cse.unsw.edu.au . Students should be able to see links in Moodle in the next day or so to join their tutorial.
As you might know, towards the end of this term, you will be completing a project in groups of 5. Students can form groups in the Groups section of webcms. Please note that forming groups is optional, students without a group will be assigned to one, and groups with less that 5 members will have additional members assigned to them. Also, students do not need to be in the same tutorial to join the same project group.
Have a great experience this term and let us know if there are any issues!
