Instructions
If you require help during a help session:
-
Navigate to Blackboard Collaborate from the course Moodle page and join the 'help-session' room.
-
Go to
unsw.to/hopper
and select the "COMP1531 Help Sessions" room (code: UOHT) to make a request for help. Please indicated whether you want help with the project or a lab task. You will be put in a queue for help.
-
If you are seeking help with the project and have other members of your group waiting with you, all of you should join an empty breakout group in the Blackboard Collaborate room. If there's no empty group, wait for the tutor to create one.
-
When a tutor is available to help you, they will join you in a breakout group, and help you with whatever problem you have.
Please note that:
-
You will almost certainly need to share your screen with a tutor. Learn how to do that
here
.
-
Tutors may give some priority to assisting with lab tasks over the project as lab issues are usually simpler to resolve.
-
After a tutor has helped you, you can put in a new request for additional help afterwards, but if it's toward the end of the session and you've already received some help, this request may be rejected.
-
If the help session is very busy, the tutor may not be able to spend as much time with you as you like. Please try to be prepared as possible when you make your request so that no time is wasted.
