    Update:

    * myExperience's deadline is tonight !!!!!!
    * 68 students have filled the survey
    * 93 have not.

    Summary of this post:

    I know you are busy, so here is the summary:

    Your feedback throughout the term helped us to improve the course. With the help of your feedback, we were able to not only adjust the course, but also secure extra budget to keep the edForum, technical consultations, and self-learning resources going. You had a great impact on this course, and now it's time to make a university-wide impact by filling out the myExperience survey.

    https://myexperience.unsw.edu.au/

    I've set a goal of 75% participation rate, with a UNSW-approved reward for reaching that target.

    The myExperience survey is now open

    The myExperience survey is now open for students to fill out. This is a fully confidential student survey, and your identity will not be included in the final report. This survey is extremely important for the university, as the results have a significant impact on the decisions made by the university. Your feedback from throughout the term has been heard and has helped us improve the course. Now is the time for you to make a university-wide impact for your future and the future of other students.

    The University Listens to You

    Based on feedback from last year and throughout this term, I have added a few things to the course, such as the edForum, self-learning resources, and technical help session consultations. These additions come at a cost to the university, and our initial budget for the course was limited. We ran these additions for two weeks as an experiment and asked for your feedback, which we listened to and used to improve them. Some feedback were positive. I used all your anonymous feedback to create two cases, which I presented to the school, and they happily increased our budget by around $20,000 to cover the cost of the edForum, self-learning resources, and technical help sessions for the rest of the term. I wanted to share this with you to let you know that the university listens to you. Your opinion matters. If you want to see these changes applied throughout your degree in other courses or even throughout the university, we need your feedback through the myExperience survey. I may not be here in the future, but your feedback can have a lasting impact on UNSW's policies for many years.

    Participation Matters

    Low participation in the myExperience survey is considered a bad result from the university's perspective. For example, if only 20 students out of 160 fill out the survey and say the course was amazing, the university may conclude that the lack of participation means the changes were not well-received, and they may stop these improvements. So, if you think your mentors, technical consultations, edForum, self-learning resources, and the course overall were good, or if there are things we should consider for the next term, please fill out the myExperience survey. To make a significant impact, we need a 75% participation rate. I was thinking of setting a prize if we reach this goal, but the university has informed me that extending deadlines, adding extra marks, or giving money to students would be considered bribery, which is not allowed.

    Participation Goal!

    Please head to our edForum's post to know more about the the participation goal. EdForum post:
